Great product. I purchased to scan old photos onto my computer in order to turn them into a photobook. They scaned perfectly!
I have an iMac that is running on OS 10.6.5 Snow Leopard and the Canon software is compatible. This is definitely a plus because there aren't a lot of options there for third party Mac-compatible scanning software. My main uses include scanning multiple-page PDF files and occasional photocopying.
