Great lens and price

When I purchased my 7D, I also picked this lens up for some wildlife and nature photography. With the cropped sensor, 300mm is close enough for animals that don't want to eat you... I'm impressed. Images are pretty sharp and colorful.

Image stabilized; Superior build quality; Super-sharp images

Slow Auto-Focus

Good lens

This user earned $10.00 in rewards for writing this review. Learn More Does what I need it to do..great pics. Paid a bit more than I expected, but all in all I would do it again because being able to get a good lens with the Overstock card I can take better family and friends photos.

Superb build quality, superb images

CANON EF 70-300mm f4-5.6L IS USM review. As a dedicated nature photographer much of my shooting is with wide angle lenses but I recently decided I wanted a telephoto zoom for wildlife, particularly birds. My criteria were: Min.

Great lens for the price.

I bought this lens years ago, but don't have the need to use it much. Reading reviews about poor focus at 300mm, I thought I would take a couple of shots. I shot this photo of a cedar fence at 20 ft at 300mm. I thought the IQ was very acceptable for this price lens.

70-300mm

A bit too expensive than its tamron counterpart but they differ in quality. Amazing picture quality is given by this lens. Perfect zoom and sharp and fast focus. A nice lens to buy.

I bought this because I do a bit of "birding" and I wanted a long lens. The non "L" version was a bit disappointing. This is substantially bulkier, and heavier but oh my, it is terrific!

Sharp as a tack; good fast focusing

Big; heavy; (compared to non L version
