Canon EF 75-300mm

Really good product, with highly applauding performance. Image quality is simply awesome. 5 stars for that.

Awesome & Sharp As a Tack!

The lens is a bit more telephoto than I need for close-range, but I bought it in a pinch - my regular lens was in the repair shop. I was very impressed with the deep rich colors and high-definition of my pictures, delivering an end product my old lens couldn't even come close to.

Brilliant colors; Sharp Focus

No Wide Angle

Great Product

I bought this lens about two months ago after using it over spring break in 2011.

cannon ef75-300 lens

It is great to have an auto-focus zoom lens with the camera. No need to be an expert to take great photos, having a zoom lens makes it fun to take pictures and the price is great for what you get.

"Capturing Life Thru A Lens!"

When I bought my Canon 1100D DSLR camera it came as part of a package with a camera case and two lenses. One of the lenses was this Canon 75mm-300mm zoom lens. ~ Price ~ This lens costs £108.01 from Amazon.co.uk or £76.89 reduced from £110.95 from Play.com.

good quality results; good to experiment with

bulky and heavy; not as versatile as other lenses

Zoom, zoom...

This lens is like the 50mm 1.8--you need to have it in your case now and perhaps forever—until you have a lot more money, these are the lenses you're going to use all the time. The kit lens also falls into this category.

Inexpensive; Necessary; Useful

Blurry Focus; Poor in Low Light; Slow Focus

Very Disappointed

I've purchased two of these new. Both autofocus systems failed after the warranty expired. I've had multiple other Canon lenses for numerous years and have NEVER had a problem. However, this 75-300 lense certainly seems to be an inferior product. Don't waste your money on this one.

Easily Interchangeable

Blurry Focus; Poor in Low Light

Package Deal

I bought this as a package deal with the Canon Rebel EOS T3 and, as part of the package, it is definitely worth the price.

I live next to the Fair Hill Nature Resource Area and take a lot of wildlife and landscape photos and have found this lens to be useful although, not perfect.

Consistent Output; Easily Interchangeable; Lightweight

Slow Focus

Not for EF-S

If you have an EF-S camera, you don't want this lens, you want to 55-250 IS lens which is a *much* better piece of glass. It's actually sharp at 250mm and the image stabilization makes hand held shots at max tele practical.

Cheap

Not a good lens; The optics are not very good; Mine is only anywhere near sharp at max tele if and only if I use F/11; Even a half stop up or down from there and it gets fuzzy; The lack of image stabilization makes it hard to use at f/11 except on a very bright day
