Excellent

An excellent lens in all regards for full-frame use. A true oldie but goodie. Very good performance from f/2.2 to f/18. f/2 is where it starts performing well. I use mine for shallow DOF close-focus and landscape.

Simply takes gorgeous portraits

This lens is one of the classic Canon lenses. It is affordably priced, and produces professional quality portraits with sharpness and background bokeh which are wonderful and have something about them that makes you think 'Wow!'.

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Telephoto Lens Review

First introduced back in July of 1992, the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM medium telephoto lens has been the go to lens of portrait photographers for decades. It benefits from the solid build quality coupled with the low price and overall great image quality.

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Lens - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Well worth the expense.

This lens takes beautiful pictures! I'm an amateur photographer. I am a seamstress and wanted to get great pictures of the clothes I sew to post online. This lens helped me accomplish that. The pictures are just beautiful. I can't say it enough.

Sharp as all get out

This is a great lens for portrait photography. With f/1.8 you can get a good shallow DOF and good bokeh. It's sharp as a tack and the focusing is fast and accurate. The construction is not up to L lens standards but this isn't an L lens.

Consistent Output; Durable; Quick Focus; Sharp Focus

Weak Casing

Excellent lens but watch out for chroma

This lens is donkeys years old....I've had one since my film days with a Canon EOS620! It's a keeper for sure and at the current price an absolute bargain. I love the handling; it feels just right on my 50D or 760D and the focussing is blisteringly fast and accurate.

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Quick Focus; Rugged; Sharp Focus; Strong Construction

Chromatic Aberrations

No matter what if you are in the back row and your son on the stage at a school play, your picture will be Prefect and it will look like you were in the front row.
