It takes very good photos and the only flaw I can find is that the focus doesn't lock when set to auto-focus which may cause damage to the lens if turned accidentally, this problem has been fixed with the new model of the lens...

Nice lens and focal distance. Size light enough to carry on camera all day. Long distant focus can be an issue in auto mode. Manual focus helps in that case. Great compliment to the standard lens that comes with most cannon EOS cameras.
