Lets start by saying I purchased this DSLR to go traveling with for 8 months. I am a amateur photographer and enjoy taking pictures of just about everything so far. Small in size Big on performance! I've been waiting a while for the price to drop on this one. Finally bought it for under 500, Body and 28-55 IS STM Lens. Zoom action of lens could be smoother, specially shooting video. All in all this little Canon swings a big digital!

I bought this camera as a second body to use with my fast prime lenses to shoot available light. It is great for the purpose. Small and light but full featured. Is a great bridge between my 60D and my point and shoot walk around camera.
