This is NOT a scaled down version of other DSLRs. It is packed with the same features you would find in a full size body one. The touch screen is great especially if you are a smart phone user and are used to such things. Beware of changing settings with your nose though!! It can happen.

Great for sports pics of kids.

I am new to the dslr world. I have kids that play many sports indoor and out and I wanted a camera that was easy to use and could get great pics of my kids running, shooting, sliding into bases and most of all would take good pictures in a gym of basketball and volleyball games without blur and be...

Most of the time, when people think of a Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera, they immediately think of a fairly large and bulky device. However, during our time when reviewing the relatively diminutive Canon EOS 100D, many were actually quite surprised when we told them it was actually a...

Really love this camera

After losing several "point and shoot" (compact) cameras over the years, mostly to zoom mechanism failures, I decided to upgrade to a digital SLR. CNET rated the Canon EOS 100D as the best digitial SLR under $1000, but it was still out of my price range.

Compact; Screen size

It is packed with preset creative functions, including Scene Intelligent Auto Mode that detects faces, colors, brightness, movement and more, and automatically picks an appropriate exposure mode. New Scene modes for use during live shooting include Kids, Food and Candlelight.

Sweet little camera

I bought this camera as a second body to use with my fast prime lenses to shoot available light. It is great for the purpose. Small and light but full featured. Is a great bridge between my 60D and my point and shoot walk around camera.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Quiet

Canon 100D review

The interchangeable lens camera market has shifted significantly over the past couple of years. Where once the bulky DSLR was the undisputed king, now smaller, compact system cameras are making significant headway into stealing the crown.

Canon EOS Rebel SL1 Review

Canon DSLRs remain top sellers because they take good stills – and in the case of the EOS Rebel SL1 – good videos.

Quality Canon 18MP stills; Good 1080/30p videos; Very fast; accurate focusing

Grip may be too small for some; Mono onboard sound; Quality falls off after ISO 800

Does whay it should - nicely

The camera and lens have been reviewed elsewhere in great detail.

I use an EOS-6D as well as the EOS-100D. Much of the time the EOS-100D is preferred because of its weight and size.

Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Simple Controls
