If you have a flair for photography and want to earn a high-end camera that can result in quality rich pictures and videos, then just turn your head to Canon EOS 1100D. This member from the house of Canon is one of the premium reasonable SLR cameras in the market these days.

LCD screen is not very bright; lacks in-built cleaning system and manual video settings

Upgraded

So year after year I buy a more expensive camera than the last one, hoping to get the performance I truly wanted at a price I could afford. I spoke with a Representative at another major retailer, because I felt like Best Buy wasn't truly recommending what I wanted.

Easy to use; good value

it doesn't come with an SD card

Good replacement for my old Rebel EOS300

I need a SLR camera and this is an efficient one providing both automatic and manual functions. The larger LCD panel and video features are an improvement over my previously owned Canon Rebel

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Large Clear LCD

Short Battery Life

Canon EOS Rebel T3

With Micro Four Thirds models and other mirrorless digital cameras growing in popularity, the digital SLR market has gotten some stiff competition. The category continues to push forward, though, and Canon, which has not yet manufactured a compact interchangeable lens camera, offers up the EOS Rebel...

Very fast; Good low-light performance

Body feels underbuilt; Similarly priced Micro Four Thirds cameras offer better performance in smaller bodies; Live View LCD suffers from painfully slow focus.

Canon T3 Digital Camera Review

Spiritual successor to the Rebel XS line, minus many features of other Canon DSLRs

Good color accuracy for the price; Excellent noise performance

Not a huge array of manual controls; Upgrade from the kit lens ASAP

Canon EOS Rebel T3 Review

Announced in February 2011 along with the more fully featured Rebel T3i , the EOS Rebel T3 slots into the middle of Canon's entry-level DSLR lineup based on MSRP. The T3 features a 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and improved DIGIC 4 processor, a nine point auto focus (AF) system with a single center...

Good still and video image quality; Good burst shooting performance with JPEG files; Good high ISO noise performance; Good portability

2.7-inch monitor size becoming dated, AF acquisition times are not bad, but among slowest in class, Video capture process involves multiple steps; no continuous AF capability

Canon EOS 1100D review

Although the 1100D sits firmly at the bottom of Canon DSLR range, it's still capable of knocking out well exposed, nicely saturated pics with no bother. The body feels small and light with a solid grip, but it's very plasticky and certainly not a rugged piece of kit – a lack of weather sealing means...

Quality shines through in stills; Light and portable

Compacts do more with less; Slow; noisy autofocus in video

Canon EOS 1100D

How does Canon's 12.2MP entry-level DSLR model stack up against the competition?

Image quality; Relatively user-friendly; Cheapest entry-point to Canon DSLR system

Plastic finish feels a bit cheap; No rubberisation on grip; Contrast-detect live view AF is slow
