Perfect first DSLR

This has been a brilliant first time DSLR for me. The 60D is incredibly intuitive. Using it on full auto can still produce some brilliant and punchy shots, but it is powerful enough to be used to experiment more with individual settings. The swivel LCD screen is genius.

Good battery life; Quiet; Nice features/settings; Quick Start-up time; Excellent image quality; Solid Operation; Lightweight/Portable; Simple controls/menu; Easy to use

Poor build quality

Cannon 60D a def. Upgrade!

Got this for Christmas! My husband reseached this camera. I really wanted the 7D but the difference between the two was not significant...only the price. Takes very clear pictures.

Skeptism put to rest

A very cautious buyer in this internet world of commerce transactions Skeptical, old fashioned and prepared to "bang a head" should I be taken for a ride. This product has lived up to the independent reviews and I am looking forward to getting out and about once the miserable winter has slid by.

CANON EOS 60D + EF-S 18-135 mm IS Lens

This is a great camera. I had a 350D for 7 years that I was very pleased with and wanted to upgrade. I have to say that this camera does not disappoint. The focusing is fast and accurate, the colour tones on the pictures are spot on and the light metering is right every time.

Great camera; lots of features for novice and pro; good build; quality lens; fast focus and response time

Heavier than the XXXD series; Was not supplied with an english manual so had to read it on PC.

I've been taking pictures for most of my life now. I started with an AGFA camera and B&W film I was given when 8 years old and haven't stopped. What has changed are the cameras I've been using. This is the latest in a number of Canon cameras.

Worth Every Penny

I'm a first time buyer of a DSLR camera. After years of using digital cameras I grew tired of catching memorable moments as blurry images. After weeks of reading reviews and ratings I chose the Canon 60D and couldn't be happier.

Very average

Indoors with all the lights on, it would jump up to ISO 1600 (full auto setting). Yet, in a side by side comparison, my XTI would sit comfortably at 400 ISO. Why the difference? Manual settings with the exact same lenses between the two produced nearly identical images.

Camera build quality; button location; flip out screen; the way it feels in the hand; high megapixel count; live view; it's a Canon

High ISO means nothing when the result is garbage; I actually owned two of these, after returning the first one; It wasn't a fluke; The average consumer might not notice this, but a professional should.

The semi-pro camera that delivers

Can't miss camera for taking pictures. Semi Pro indeed. Its solid and attractive, lots of curb appeal. Compared to a puny Rebel... SIZE does matter! So get and start shooting til your hearts content!

Excellent Imaging; Rugged Beefy build (truly a step above the rebel line; Fast 5.7 frames per sec; Wireless flashgun control (yummy; Full HD video capture; Articulating screen is bright and vivid

That DAM lock on mode dial (hate it; No dedicated video button (boo; it takes forever to switch to mode via the dial!
