Great camera for a new pro or semi pro use

This camera takes as good of quality photos as the 7d at half the cost. The only thing that takes getting used to is the controls, mainly the locking selector dial. Unless you make a living taking super fast action sports photos, this camera will do you great.

value for the money

accessories tend to be pricy for this camera

Canon EOS 60D

The $1,099 (direct, body only) 18-megapixel Canon EOS 60D is an update to the Canon EOS 50D, and is Canon's first D-SLR digital camera to feature an LCD mounted to an articulating arm, for viewing from nearly any angle.

Sharp, beautiful images; Fast shooting; Excellent for low-light performance without a flash; Lots of video recording options; Manual operation during video recording.

No continuous autofocus while recording video; Lens makes audible noise when re-focusing during video recording

Canon EOS 60D review

The Canon 60D is a DSLR camera aimed at the serious amateur. Not quite ready to part with the funds to net Canon's 7D or 5D MkII? This, says the manufacturer, is the camera for you: a ruggedly built, feature-stuffed snapper that counts full 1080p video among its charms.

Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Review

The Canon EOS 60D is an excellent enthusiast-level camera that offers a variety of new features over its predecessor and excellent image and video quality.

Great photo and video quality; Articulating display; Microphone input

No continous autofocus for video; Awkward mode dial lock placement; Display gets easily washed out in sunlight

Canon 60 D

Trust me guys the Canon 60 D is the Best for the Photographer who likes creativity and a great video mode that can beat most of the HD cam camcorders. Excellent battery life i really enjoyed shooting with it.

Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; Large Clear LCD; Tilt /Swivel LCD

Noisy At High ISO

[REVIEW-CANON EOS 60D]

This 18 megapixel DSLR is the latest iteration in the Canon 10/20/30/40/50D range of mid-priced cameras. The new feature that is immediately obvious is the swivelling high resolution LCD screen.

This is such a beautifully evolved camera series that there is not much to say other than "it's just like the 50D only better." Low light performance is brilliant; Auto white balance is not wonderful but selecting a setting appropriate to the light source fixes that.

Live view is still clunky and auto-focus in movie mode is still frustrating; The instruction book warns "continuous focus on a moving subject is not possible."

Canon EOS 60D Review

At first blush, you'd think the EOS 60D would be more capable than the older EOS 50D. That's only partially true. It's got more pixels and a more sophisticated metering engine, but it lacks the metal body and has a lower maximum continuous shooting speed.

Excellent balance; great choice of lenses; superb video capabilities

Only nine focus points; obtuse UI

Great for semi-pros Nice feel Easy to use Great Images (even better with lots of practise) Great choice of lens Bad Points: Dial and D pad are too close

Wonderful first camera for those with greater needs than the 500/550/600Ds or the 1000D

Canon EOS 60D

Both cameras include a few preset Scene modes, although not as many as the Nikon, to help you quickly get shots like Landscape and Portrait. Both also allow you to save your own favorite settings under three user modes; the Nikon allows two.

Great image quality; Swiveling LCD screen; Long battery life

Slow autofocus on LCD screen; none in movie mode; Plastic body; Lacks features found on Nikon D7000

Alot of camera for the bucks.

I will use the camera mostly for stills of people, family, nature and landscapess. I like the 18mp so I can print large photos for displatand exibits. Don't kniow any thing that would be a negative about the camera.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Quiet; Tilt /Swivel LCD
