Great Value For Money

I sold my Mark II and bought the 60D when it came out to be able to purchase nicer glass. I purchased the 24-105 and it works perfectly with the 60D. I love the live features to be able to get the perfect lighting before shooting a scene.

good battery life; quiet; Nice features/settings; Quick Start-up time; excellent image quality; Bright LCD; Solid Operation; Lightweight/Portable; Simple controls/menu; easy to use

medium build quality

Canon EOS 60D

A DSLR camera for photo enthusiasts who also want to be able to record Full HD video clips.Replacing the popular EOS 50D, Canon's new EOS 60D sits between the EOS 550D and EOS 7D and appears to have the same sensor as its 'siblings'.

You want a capable DSLR camera with a 1.6x crop factor sensor and the ability to use a wide range of lenses; You'd enjoy the Creative Filter effects; You'd like the ability to shoot both still pictures and HD video clips with the same camera and would appreciate the jack for fitting a stereo

This camera performs well with its DIGIC 4 technology, and the Canon EOS 60D professional DSLR camera is a solid choice for anyone looking to take high-quality pictures. We are disappointed that the speed has dropped to 5.3 images per second, while the 50D shoots 6.3 images per second.

It features good imaging specs; improved battery life and HD video

It has a smaller sensor size and is slower than the Canon 50D

Worth the while

This is a very good camera, if you are a mid-level photographer. The features are a definite win over the similar Nikon camera. However, the Nikon has the metal composite, weather-proof construction that this Canon lacks. Its performance, especially when shooting on a tripod, is exceptional.

Canon EOS 60D

Canon's latest DSLR features more than just a new sensor. An articulated screen and significant changes to the handling could make the Canon EOS 60D the best-ever enthusiast DSLR.

Canon EOS 60D EF-S 18-200 IS Kit

The Canon EOS 60D is the perfect entry level Digital-SLR (Single-lens reflex) camera that offers both the home and amateur photographer the capabilities needed to produce some amazing shots.

Canon EOS 60D review: This digital SLR camera is perfect for anyone who's got more than just a passing fancy for photography

The Canon EOS 60D sits between the Canon EOS 50D and the Canon EOS 7D in Canon's mid-range digital SLR offerings, and it's a mighty beast to shoot with. It's fast, it has a vari-angle LCD screen, it can shoot high-definition video, and it has useful built-in image processing.

Fast burst mode; excellent high ISO performance; hinged LCD screen; Full HD video recording

Its buttons could be better; the 8-way control button feels terrible and doesn't always respond properly

Canon EOS 60D

The 60D is ideal for anyone looking for a video-enabled SLR who wasn't familiar with the 50D or earlier line of cameras. But if you were looking for an upgrade you might be left wondering what Canon did to your faithful product line and why this camera feels a bit like a souped-up 550D, or a...

Excellent LCD screen in terms of resolution and shooting flexibility; High ISO performance is impressive; Very good picture quality without needing to alter the default values; Creative filters are fun; but probably better suited to an entry-level model

Body no longer made of magnesium alloy; Some design quirks that affect usability; Slow AF in Live View

Canon EOS 60D Review

Now is the time to see the Canon EOS 60D in action and assess its strengths and weaknesses. Let's start from what, in our view, is the main shortcoming in this model. We are talking about the Auto focus Live View is used when you cannot reach the freezing point in a short time, and this could lose...

Image quality; Handling; definition of the display

Slow AF Live View mode; Post-production impractical

Canon EOS 60D DSLR Review

Despite its name, the 60D is most definitely the Rebel T2i's big brother, and not the successor to the 50D. The Canon EOS 60D has been released to bridge the gap between its Rebel T2i and 7D. It's a bold step by Canon, but has it paid off?

18 megapixels; Good results at higher ISO settings; Full HD movie mode; Flip-out LCD screen

Some fiddly controls; Plastic body; Currently overpriced
