Awesome Scanner!

This is a fabulous portable scanner. It squeaks a little, but works great! I like the computer interface - the ability to delete pages, move pages, re-scan pages that don't scan right, then save. Perfect for anyone with large quantities of pages to scan in the office or on the go!

Great when it is working.

Have now used this to archive a large number of documents. I found this scanner to be fast and efficient, there are no drivers to install and the app that runs the scanner is already installed on the scanner itself(accessed via usb).

The P-208II ($149.00 at Amazon) itself is impressive for the price. The software lacks some key features, most notably the ability to scan to editable text format. The result is a capable piece of hardware hobbled by limited software. If you already have all the programs you need, however, or are willing to pay extra to buy them, it can still be an attractive choice. According to Canon, the hardware side of the P-208II is essentially unchanged from the Canon imageFormula P-208 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner ($273.99 at Amazon) . The main difference between the two is an updated version of Canon's CaptureOnTouch scan utility for the P-208II. The good news is that the new version of CaptureOnTouch is a easier to learn and use. However, there's little to no additional capability, and the scan spe...

The Canon imageFormula P-208 II Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner combines capable hardware with limited software, making it of interest only if you already have all the scan-related software you need, or don't mind buying some.
