Doesn't sync with Windows 10 devices without dongl

I bought this as a simple tracker that could sync with my phone and maybe show me some notifications. However, the tracker doesn't sync with any Windows 10 device over Bluetooth - you have to use the included dongle. This means it won't sync with a Windows 10 phone if you have one.

Great step tracker

Great to use for tracking my steps a d exercise. Didn't like the band. Purchased watch band buckle type straps to feel more secure and not lose it.

keeps me moving

My first Fitbit and didn't know what all features I needed so I went basic and am not disappointed. It does what I want it to do - keeps me moving. I set my goals a little high and am proud when I reach them and find myself wanting to walk to add steps.

Fitbit Alta

A basic fitness tracker that looks good, but doesn't really do much to stand out

Great app; Automatically tracks workouts; Week long battery

No heart-rate monitor; Annoying charger; Not waterproof; Screen not overly responsive

Fitbit Alta review: High praise for low-level fitness tracking

Fitbit is arguably one of the most well-known companies when it comes to activity tracking, monopolising around 70 per cent of the market. It not only offers a huge selection of devices in comparison to its competitors, but it also offers an excellent interface to match.

Best Fitbit design to date; excellent 5-day battery life; comfortable to wear; nice display; notifications; accurate step-tracking; fantastic app platform

No heart-rate monitoring; no altimeter; no waterproofing; inaccurate distance-tracking; display not always super responsive nor visible in bright light

Fitbit Alta HR review

The Alta HR is Fitbit's most stylish heart-rate tracker to date. It lacks an altimeter for stair and hill climbing stats, but its 24/7 heart-rate monitor will help you get fitter, lose weight, and better monitor your sleep.

Fitbit Alta review: a basic but stylish step counter

Will Alta your perception of cheap fitness trackers? No. But it's a sleek, attractive fitness tracker that works well. Also, your friends probably have a Fitbit as well, so you can compete against them in "fun" fitness leaderboards. You really can't go wrong with a Fitbit, is what we're saying.

More attractive design options; Leading ecosystem; Excellent app

Not for serious athletes; Screen slightly laggy; Still quite thick

Fitbit Alta review

This slimmed-down stylish tracker delivers basic data but lacks a beating heart.

Genuinely motivating step reminders; Accurate sleep-monitoring; Excellently connected app; Grown-up form factor

No waterproofing; No heart rate monitor; Screen collects scratches

Fitbit Alta review

Update : Fitbit has beefed up the sleep-tracking capabilities of its companion app. The new feature, called Sleep Schedule , does much more than just track the amount of time you've slept each night, it learns from your habits and compares them to the anonymously collected data of other Fitbit...

Brilliant for tracking sleep

Replaced a cheaper step tracker with this Fitbit. Really accurate with counting steps. Sleep tracker is brilliant how it knows I've gone to sleep and not just relaxing is beyond me. So comfortable and isn't an issue while I sleep. Love the reminders you can set up. Highly recommend!!
