The Fitbit Alta HR is not the most advanced fitness tracker around. It is not the most functional fitness tracker around but what it does it does well. It is designed to be the fitness tracker for the average person who wants the tracker to be subtle and blend into their everyday fashion, and it...

great product!

I love my new fitbit - I did have a lot of trouble trying to sync it for the first time, however after a few hours I did manage to get it! Haven't had an issue since, love it!

Review: Fitbit Alta HR

No one needs an activity tracker. Sure, you feel a whiff of superiority wagging your wrist and boasting about how much ground you've covered today. But let's not pretend that wearing a wrist computer makes you a better person.

Prettier than its predecessors with a litany of interchangeable bands; Automatically recognizes and logs activity when you're walking, running, or biking; Battery lasts a full week between charges

The silent alarm is too timid to reliably wake you up. Sleep insights are a bore. No GPS tracking or waterproofing; runners and swimmers are out of luck

Review: Fitbit Alta HR

Occasionally, a Beckenbauer, Ennis-Hill or Phil Neville will arrive with the combined talents of an entire team. But most of the time, all-rounder means almost.

Fitbit Alta HR: The Gizmodo Review

The Fitbit Alta HR doesn't offer much of an improvement over the existing Charge 2, and in fact you might struggle to notice any real difference at first. However, the more compact design and improved screen sensitivity is definitely a step up over last year's tracker.

Instant feedback; HR sensor; Customisable design

Fitbit Alta HR Review

A sleek look, heart-rate features, and low price make the Alta HR perfect for casual athletes.

Slim; sleek; and unobtrusive design; Precise heart-rate tracking; Impressive activity recognition; Useful sleep-tracking data

Dim; finicky screen; Not waterproof; No manual fitness profiles or relaxation features

Tiny – great software, great hardware too!

Super small and light, this is the first device that I'm wearing on my opposite wrist as a pure tracker and not as a watch replacement.I've gone through multiple watch replacement models and I just don't like any of them enough to give up a well-made timepiece.

Tiny; HR Tracking; Accurate

Not waterproof; tap to touch confuses some..

Fitbit Alta HR Review

Alta HR is a great option for someone that wants basic activity and sleep tracking features, but also wants a wrist heart rate monitor.

Stylish; comfortable and customizable design; Built-in wrist heart rate monitor; Solid activity and sleep tracking; Access to robust Fitbit app

Not waterproof; Charges with proprietary cable; No music controls; Battery life could be better; Display has terrible visibilty in sunlight
