I am two months into owning this and I've had repeat connection issues. Constantly losing connection to Garmin's app. I've had to repair the device a few times. After changing phones this issue got so much worse that I'm now ready to move to Fitbit.

American company Garmin isn't a stranger to tracking technologies, be it mapping tech or sport science, so when the Vivosmart HR arrived on my desk, I was pretty excited. It's the company's new fitness tracker for the semi-serious outdoor performer, and unlike the standard Garmin Vivosmart, the HR...
Love all the features. I bought this because 1) waterproof to 50m, 2) HR sensor, 3) get notifications for any app you chose from your phone, including calls, 4) good battery life. I'm getting 3-4 days battery, but charges very fast! *Move* feature is great.
Not at all accurate. While walking shows 2-3 steps for every step that I take. Google fit on my Android phone gives better reading. Fancy but Not Real.
Use it every day. I am really enjoying this product. So far it seems very accurate for the calories in calories out. Helping to maintain my fitness.
Good Value
Did research. Best Waterproof Rating-Better than Fitbit with all the same features Happy with purchase

The Vivosmart HR is the newest addition to Garmin's activity tracking range and resembles the lovechild of the Vivosmart band and the Vivofit 2. A sleek design with monochrome display, silicon band and built-in optical heart-rate monitor on the underside (which I found to be very accurate), this new...

Garmin's latest entry into the field, the Vivosmart, looks to differentiate itself from Apple's offering by being a fitness tracker with smartphone features, rather than a smartwatch that also happens to...
comfortable design; very long battery life; well implemented activity tracking and notification
companion app doesn't provide much value; text orientation makes longer notifications hard to read
Kleenex, Hoover, Glad Wrap, Band-aid, Fitbit. All brands that are synonymous with the products they represent. It makes it hard for other brands to break into their respective fields.
Small form factor; Phone notifications; Fully featured app; Solid design/band
Black and white display; Not Android Wear; App is over-complicated
