Upgraded from the Hero 5 mostly for the digital zoom option. crystal clear video and stills every time. A wide range of accessories make it a great camera for many applications. Threw it in my pocket and captured over 1000 images and a bunch of video on a recent vacation.

GoPro has always occupied a fairly tight niche of camera users. In fact, there are almost certainly more people who own the action camera than have lives gnarly or radical enough to actually need them.

GoPro has ruled the roost in the action camera for an age, but with improving smartphone cameras and waterproofing, the reasons for buying one are falling by the day. Purchased GoPro Hero 6 as Christmas present for my son. First was returned because of faulty battery cover. The replacement will not charge, this was returned and the third camera is also not charging.

The Hero 6 Black is an accomplished action camera, and the best on the market in my opinion, but there are a couple of serious issues that prevent it from gaining my wholehearted recommendation. The first is the price. Even though it's £100 cheaper than the original, £399 is still too much.
