The HP Scanjet 8270 is not a perfect scanner. Room for improvement is there, but it sure made my work a lot easier.

I purchased the product based upon the reputation of HP. I understood that the scanner was a reconditioned scanner and that it was of an older design where now scanners are part of multifunction machines, scanners, printers and fax machines.

I owned a different Scanjet model and decided it was time to upgrade to this model, since the ADF can handle more pages per minute. It has been a complete disaster. Some days I am actually able to scan a few hundred pages before I run into problems, sometimes the problem is with the very first piece...

Best scanner I have used bar all brands-just use ear plugs if standing close by!

Noisey when scanning ADF for office environment

This scan jet has met every need I had and performs really well. The quality is excellent and I love the document feeder, which was the main reason I picked this scanner.

This was, by far, my worst experience for a refurb desktop. The first unit would not boot up. After spending an hour on the phone with a Microsoft tech person(we tried many different things, even reloading the OS) he finally suggested that I return the computer.

I had read mixed reviews for this product but Walmart had by far the best price so we ordered it and also few years of protection warranty for peace of mind; so far my employees LOVE it; it is much faster and to our surprise much easier/simpler to use than previous lower end model HP that we owned;...

This scanner is extremely over priced for what it does. The scanner is slow and the software has problems. The scanner constantly jams and the ADF is prone to problems. I would not recommend this item at all. This scanner does double side documents but it is not worth the price.

Like something out of the 80's. Was looking for an efficient scanner, but this is just unusable. Bad interface with the computer. Buttons on the scanner do nothing - the scanner must be operated by opening the scanning software in windows.
