Huawei P10 64GB

Huawei P10 is a really smart phone. It applies artificial intelligence (AI) to boost the performance of apps and the scrolling experience. Huawei claims that apps open 20% due to AI technology.

The phone sports a 5.1-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 px. The latest flagship phone is powered by the in-house developed Kirin 960-processor and has 4 GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 64 GB.

Huawei skins the standard Android version with the EMUI skin, which ensures a slick and unique user interface onto of the Android operating system.

P10's battery capacity is sizeable at 3,200 mAh, but still 14.6% lower than that of the larger Huawei P10 Plus model.

The co-operation with Leica guarantees a high-quality camera. the dual rear camera combines a 20 MP monochrome sensor with a 12 MP colour sensor. The monochrome sensor collects details and light while the colour one applies colours.

The call quality is excellent thanks to the four mini-antennas that boost signal strength in low-coverage areas.

The Huawei P10 is a solid all-round smartphone, offering smart hardware that's elevated by some well-designed software. If you're after a particular feature or looking to tweak some part of the user experience, chances are the P10 will allow you to do it.

Vibrant new colours; Feature-packed camera; EMUI 5.1

Huawei P10 review: Android's iPhone-killer, or flawed imitator?

It's not often a phone is revealed in a green colour finish. Or "greenery" to give it full credit. Which, as it so happens, is Pantone's colour of the year 2017. It's also Huawei 's oh-so-on-trend colour for its brand new P10 smartphone.

More mature software from Huawei; slender and refined design; battery life is decent from a palm-sized phone; dual camera solution is fun; microSD card expansion or dual SIM; smooth operation and oodles of power on tap

Smeary fingerprints are a problem for the screen; default Themes still look jarring; P10 Plus a more appealing prospect (albeit larger device); camera bokeh effect can be overkill; moving fingerprint scanner to front was a bold move

Huawei P10

After over four months with the Huawei P10, I can confirm the phone has aged very well. The 3200mAh battery hasn't seriously deteriorated and continues to easily last a full day with average use. The Kirin 960 CPU has also worn well and I still don't have any issues with the P10's performance.

Solid design; Expandable storage is a bonus; All day battery life; Decent performance

Emotion UI adds way too many duplicate apps; Camera's aperture is too low; Not the best-value phone around

Huawei P9 vs Huawei P10 comparison review

While the Huawei P9 is a great smartphone, it can't quite compete with its successor, the P10. The P10 features faster internals, a bigger base storage, improved cameras and a range of new colour options – what's not to like?

Huawei P10 Review: The Good, The Bad & The Forgettable

I've just spent close to a month testing the Huawei P10, a handset that is designed to do battle with the Galaxy S8 and LG G6

Smart Looks; Well Executed Design; Great Specs; Excellent Performance; Solid Camera

Software Needs Some Work; Design, While Nice, Could Be More Engaging; Too Much Bloatware

Huawei P10 review: camera-focussed Android phone for creative millennials

We're horribly spoiled by phones, as consumers, these days. They are all pretty good and their design language is very familiar to us. Sure, you could put out a triangular phone, but at this point, nobody would buy it.

Attractive; Leica camera tech impresses; 8 (yes 8!) colour options

Overshadowed by Samsung Galaxy S8; Pricier than previous Huawei phones; Battery life isn't amazing

OnePlus 5T review: The (new) best Android for Windows phone converts

Last year I reviewed the OnePlus 3T as a Windows phone user, and I called it the best Android phone for Windows phone converts. Its price, software, and design made it a no-brainer for Android newcomers, and it was a great option for those who are looking to switch from Windows phone.

Premium build quality; Lots of RAM means great performance; Clean; relatively stock Android

Slippery; Camera is only

OnePlus 5T 8GB

The OnePlus 5T replaces its sibling as the best phone to buy in the sub-40k price bracket. However, for Android lovers, this doesn't have the newest version of the OS and lacks a camera that can take on the Google Pixel 2 XL.

Well built; Good performance; Nice display; Improved low light photography; still not the best

No water or dust resistance; Not running on Android Oreo out of the box
