Honestly best phone I've ever had, i do which we had the a7 variant on eu but the a5 is also really good. Great screen, looks really good, faster than most android phones, battery easily lasts a day and a half with no power saving.

Was going for Apple iPhone but after reading reviews decided to get the new Samsung A5. Well worth the saving. Does most things the iPhone does. Fingerprint function a lot better than my iPad. Unless you are getting Apple for the name, you will not be disappointed with the Samsung A5 (2017).
Samsung has this ritual of launching specific smartphone series including Galaxy A, Galaxy J and some more every year, with some refinement in the build quality and specifications.
Build quality; Snappy performance; Decent cameras
Price; Slippery glass body; Still runs on Android 6.0

So how good is the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 for a price of Rs 28990? While the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 comes with some really good upgrades in the form of good design, build, excellent display, optimized software and decent battery life, it competes with the likes of Honor 8, Zenfone 3 and also OnePlus...
Neatly balancing performance and price, the A5 has plenty to like - but there are strong rivals nipping at its heels
Great build quality; Punchy AMOLED screen; Good battery life; Decent cameras
Video could be a little sharper; Some better-specced competition; Audio is disappointing
The Rs 30,000 smartphone segment is an interesting one indeed. Popularly known as the budget-flagship segment, this price bracket sees phones that offer a compelling package of features that sets them apart from the run-of-the-mill smartphones in the market.
We take the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 edition out for a spin to see if affordable can indeed be beautiful
High-end metal and glass build materials and design; capable processor; well-optimised hardware and software; waterproof; decent camera; great display; superb battery life; affordable
A little lacking in top-end performance grunt
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has a stunning design, thanks to a glass back and rounded corners. The phone easily fits in your hand, despite a 5.5-inch display. The glass back is curved around the two sides, and seamlessly merges into the display. Here is our full review.
The mid-range smartphone market is red hot right now and the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is right up there among the front-runners. And although it was launched early on in 2017, its design, specifications and all-round performance have been holding up well.
