Samsung is one of the dominant forces at the top end of the smartphone market with its superb Galaxy S III , but the company has proved before that it also knows how to do things well at the mid-range, and that's where the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is positioned.
Good battery life; Nice screen; A comfortable size for hand and pocket
Android 2.3; Bland design; Tinny sound through speakers
Although the phone itself is packed with a lot of interesting gadgets, I found it hard to navigate and still struggle with some of the phones functions.
Samsung's Galaxy Ace 2 is more high-end than its last-gen siblings, thanks to its 800MHz dual-core processor and 3.8-inch WVGA screen
We were blown away by the success of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 last year. Don't get us wrong, we thought it was a great handset, but within weeks of reviewing it, everyone around town was rocking Samsung's stylish budget mid-range offering. Since then, the phone market has changed.
Sharp screen; Speedy processor; Solid camera
Uninspired design; Gingerbread; Small internal memory
Sitting firmly between entry-level devices and the mid-tier market, the Ace II X is a solid, though far from cutting-edge, mobile device. It features a 4-inch screen at 480-by-800 pixels, a 1-GHz processor, 4GB of storage and Android Jelly Bean.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 offers some welcome improvements to the original model with its beefed up processor and larger screen, plus its rather impressive camera. It's a shame that it's using an old version of Android but it still offers a pretty good spec for the price.
Dual-core processor; decent camera
Older version of Android; boring design
this phone has front cam facility, so more indian buyer will be attracted for purchasing this phone
front cam; Android os
Lack of dual sim
The Galaxy Ace proved its worth as a popular pocket smartphone, and Samsung is hoping to prolong this success with a second version of its entry-level mobile.
A worthy successor for the Galaxy Ace; TouchWiz interface is more responsive than the previous version; Good screen; Good battery life
Camera hasn't been updated; Design copied straight from the Galaxy S3
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 – The Mini 2 is a smaller, cheaper handset than the Galaxy Ace 2, but it's perfect if that's all you think you'll need. It features just a basic 3 MP camera and 800MHz of processing power – which should be enough for light phone users.
