Samsung Galaxy S8 Dual SIM SM-G950FD 64GB

Samsung Galaxy S8 is the new flagship phone from Samsung. The Korean company announced it on March the 29th 2016.

The screen measures 5.8 inches and almost covers the entire front area thanks to the curved edges and the removal of the physical home button. Samsung applies an Infinitive Design for the screen, which makes it appear larger than it is. The aspect ratio is slightly taller than most other phones at 18.5 x 9. This aspect ratio allows Samsung to offer split screens and therefore two apps can be viewed at the same time.

Galaxy S8 comes with Samsung's own voice assistant called Bixby and offers face recognition in addition to iris scanning and fingerprint sensor.

For the most part, Samsung's Galaxy S8 is a slam dunk. It's brilliantly designed, brimming with horsepower and has a beautiful screen. That's all most people will need, and our gripes are minor.

Incredible fit and finish; Samsung's interface feels more polished; Comfortable to hold; Strong performance; Comfortable to hold; Samsung's interface feels more polished; Top-notch performance; Excellent battery life

Bixby isn't ready for prime time; Cameras aren't hugely improved; Fingerprint sensor placement is weird; Bixby is incomplete; Cameras aren't hugely improved; Fingerprint sensor placement is weird

Cracks easy and Bixby is not a help!

This phone cracked a month after we got it after dropping on the carpet floor! Had many Galaxy phones including the edge(S6) and never cracked the screen from a simple drop! The Bixby feature is annoying and pops up when you are trying to find icons to click on and slows down the whole phone.

This phone is beyond words.

I have had my S8 for more than one year, and it still performs really well. The back of my phone is cracked but it was dropped from 3 feet onto rough concrete without a case. I do recommend buying a case for it even if it has Gorilla Glass 5, but still is a really durable phone, holds up really...

Screen-to-Body Ratio; 12 Megapixel Camera; 4K Video; Curved Edge Display; Fast Charging; Is durable; Headphone Jack

Still cracks (duh; Fingerprint sensor placement; Slippery without a case

Pros: The storage is good, and the battery is much better than my previous two-year old Samsung phone. Cons: The edge of the screen is poorly designed. It has this fashion-looking curved edge, which is a disaster. I initially put on a tempered glass screen protector, the most expensive brand.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Phones have become a little stale. Whether it's an iPhone 7 , Huawei P10 , Sony Xperia XZ Premium or any other flagship phone, they all look and feel the same. But just when I thought a phone couldn't surprise and delight me any more, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has proved me wrong.

Awesome display; A phone that feels like the future; Stunning camera; It's actually innovative

Awfully placed fingerprint sensor; Bixby is a bit of a dud

Samsung Galaxy S8 review: A mobile masterpiece

With many phones looking like clones, or brands nonchalantly pushing out the same old design year-on-year, Samsung is in that favourable position of offering something exciting in the Galaxy S8. It's a phone that defines flagship design with its visually arresting dual curved edges.

The most eye-catching phone design you can buy today; great-looking 18.5:1 aspect ratio AMOLED screen is ideal for entertainment (even more so when HDR comes into play); best Samsung software experience to date; decent battery life and optimisations; rear camera is excellent

Fingerprint scanner is poorly placed; iris and face recognition logins have limited success; Bixby button initially useless; connectivity can cause issues with perfect playback/graphical functions; some features hidden in menus; expensive

Samsung Galaxy S8 review: can it keep up with the Note 8?

Is the Galaxy S8 still the best phone ever made?

Spectacular display; Excellent camera; Stunning design; Killer speed

Expensive; Battery life isn't quite as impressive as predecessor

Samsung Galaxy S8 review: this simply irresistible phone is the best on the market

The iris scanner, the heart-rate monitor and Bixby in its current state exemplifies what's wrong with Samsung's approach to mobile. It's the endless array of features, useful or not, that Samsung throws at its phones. It's the hope that simply doing more makes the S8 better than the competition.

A super-fast, frustration-free phone for everyday use; Stunning design and build quality; Sharp edge-to-edge screen puts the focus on content

Extremely low-light camera performance in auto needs improving; Iris scanner is hopelessly fiddly; Bixby is incomplete and can't compete with Google Now and Assistant

Hands on Galaxy S8 review: who needs bezels?

We love the Galaxy S8. It's an incredible smartphone, but there are caveats - not least that terrible fingerprint reader. It's also not a wallet-friendly choice, but then neither is it intended to be. What it is intended to be is one of 2017's best smartphones.

Brilliant display; Blazing fast performance; Bluetooth 5 and dual audio

Rear fingerprint reader placement; Face recognition hit and miss; Bixby needs to differentiate

iPhone 7 vs Samsung Galaxy S8

The S8 is a stunning device with a magnificent screen; it seems fast in use, too. But until we've had some serious hands-time in our testing lab, it's too early to give our verdict.
