We've seen and tested out virtually every kids' tablet out there and the bad news is that few are very good. In general, most are under-powered or have a poor screen, despite their relatively high prices.

First of all, this isn't a new thing. What Samsung has done here is take its existing and rather low-spec Galaxy Tab 3 and whack it in a yellow case, rebranding it as the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids in the hope generous parents might buy it for their little ones regardless of how many cores it has inside.

This is the first tablet I've brought, and I am not disappointed. It seems to work quite well for what I've used it for so far. As of yet there haven't been any main problems. For the price I would say it is good value for money.

This tablet is really quite average compared to its rivals. Whilst it looks nice, it does not boast the same sort of specs that most tablets would have at this price. Great tablet. It's a dual-core processor, so is a bit slower than my quad-core smartphone, but nothing major. Looks stylish and great for news, tv, games and social media. Camera is poor quality; but that's not a big deal for me- front one is fine for Skype.

Good piece of equipment but I would have wished for a longer interval before having to recharge.

Kies turns this into a 'sync to MS outlook' (fairly) friendly device, availability of evernote, teamviewer, keepassdroid, and an ability to load my cameras pictures onto the tab, made very useful additions to to ability to down load library books which my main impetus to buy. Downsides?
