A great purchase. An update on last tablet and easy-to-use
The screen resolution is impressive; The colours are vivid and vibrant; Slim and ultra-light
Accidentally tapping on the BACK ARROW and HISTORY buttons either side of the HOME button is annoying
We reviewed and liked the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 last year and we couldn't let 2015 end without having a look at the Tab S2 models. We reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 recently in the 9.7 inch version and we should start by mentioning that this is the thinnest tablet in the world, at 5.6 mm in...
very comfy for a 9.7 incher; OK battery; but below predecessor; loud; bright screen and excellent colors; no lag; no bloatware; good performance and productivity features
long charging; 4:3 aspect is less than ideal for video; camera below the iPads and predecessor; no NFC or infrared; benchmarks below iPad Air 2 one year later
The highlights of Samsung's new tablet are the restrained, yet sophisticated and very slim construction as well as the new 4:3 Super-AMOLED screen. It can easily keep up with its excellent predecessor and convinces with a great contrast ratio, good outdoor capabilities and brilliant and accurate...
very thin and light; sophisticated build quality; microSD-card slot; AC Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.1; fingerprint scanner; precise touchscreen; great display with excellent contrast & colors; video recording in QHD; telephone functions; smooth handling
only average performance; heavy throttling; color changes from flat viewing angles; only Micro-USB 2.0; no NFC; IR transmitter of the predecessor is missing
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Review: We review the 9.7-inch model of Samsung's 2015 business and entertainment tablet, another powerful-yet-portable device packing some smart, unintrusive features. But is it a case of deja vu?
Incredibly thin; Powerful hardware; Screen well suited to productivity; Long battery life
This feels almost completely obvious but the Tab S2 9.7" is definitely the most compelling tablet that Samsung has released to date, and I think it's a good overall upgrade over the Tab S 10.5".
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7in delivers quality in all the areas that matter – it's the best-value large Android tablet around
Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 the slate to unseat Apple? Not quite, but in many ways it feels like an Android iPad. It's a joy to use thanks to a thin and light design, a big and bright screen and plenty of power, which are the most important things really.
Good screen; Thin and light; Strong performance
Average battery; Erratic fingerprint scanner; Plain design
When I first wrote about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, my dad remarked of the news story , "So, I heard Samsung is making a new iPad?" This perfectly sums up how average consumers view tablets as a product category.
Samsung hasn't just crafted a worthy successor to the Galaxy Tab S , but one of the best big-screen tablets out there. It's thin, light, gorgeous-looking and well-balanced, and while the screen has fewer pixels than its predecessor's it's still fantastic with a more practical aspect ratio.
