So SHARP that I giggled when seeing my first images!

This lens is heavy and is manual focus, but it's sharpness is unbelievable! The colors are not the best. When images from this 135mm lens are compared to those produced by most quality Pentax lenses, I'd say the colors from this Samyang lens look slightly duller.

REVIEW: Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC Lens Review

This manual focus telephoto lens offers a fast f/2 maximum aperture for a price of around £380, which seems very good value for a 135mm lens with an f/2 maximum aperture.

Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC Lens Review

This manual focus telephoto lens offers a fast f/2 maximum aperture for a price of around £380, which seems very good value for a 135mm lens with an f/2 maximum aperture.

Excellent sharpness from maximum aperture; Smooth manual focus action; Good build; Low CA; Low distortion; Good value

Lack of autofocus may be enough to put many off this lens; Loss of contrast when shooting into the light

Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC Lens (Rokinon/Bower) Review

From a bokeh-per-dollar perspective, the Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC Lens is a top choice. The 135mm telephoto focal length combined with a very wide f/2 aperture can turn the image background into a creamy blur of colors with the viewer's eye drawn to the isolated in-focus subject.

I would certainly recommend this lens.

Focusing is so sharp that it can be difficult through the view finder at F2. Tripod and digital zoom for perfect focusing. That said the bee was taken hand held and framed through the view finder.

Sharp Focus; Strong Construction

Samyang has been making waves with its latest line of AF lenses, but is primarily known for its range of incredibly sharp, manual focus optics. At 135mm, this lens is firmly in portrait territory, and its wide f/2 aperture returns seriously smooth out-of-focus areas, or bokeh, ideal for creating...
