Awesome walkabout lens

I wanted a solid walkabout lens for my D5100 without breaking the bank. I had the option of buying the Nikon 18-300 for about $1000 or a 3rd party lens. I really did't want to invest too much in glass for a D series mount as I can see myself moving up to an F series in a couple of years.

This lens is so responsive

I needed a one lens that does it all. A very fast quiet lens. I am very pleased with my purchase. I just take this lens for my yearly travel holidays. I am very please with my macro photos and my scenery photos. I cannot find any faults

SIGMA 18-250MM DC MACRO OS CANON

The title is a little misleading. It is the latest version of the lens, not the one with the 72mm filter. If this is what you want, it is nicely packaged, it includes three filters with magnification for close-up photo the bag and the protection petal. Hope this helped.

Hands-on Review: Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM

The barrel has a large zoom ring and a small manual-focusing ring at the front, with a zoom scale marked at 18, 24, 28, 35, 50, 80, 135, and 250mm. The three switches on the barrel include Zoom Lock, AF/MF, and stabilization ON/OFF.

A nice alternative to a Nikon lens

Great image result for an APS-C style of camera. Used extensively on a major holiday in Europe the lens proved itself. The only downside is 'lens creep' as set in and the 'lock' must be placed on at all times if the camera is facing towards the ground when being carried.

Easy to use

Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM Zoom Lens

The perfect lens for those wishing they didn't have to change lenses all the time. We bought this to replace our two lenses and it worked out nicely. Takes perfect pictures and is easy to operate. Would recommend this to anyone.

A Fine Lens - But Not For Me

I really, really, really wanted to love this lens. I did a lot of research on my options in this pirce range and the fact it is built is Japan was a major selling point.THE GOOD: Well built with a sharp and clear visual through my DSLR. Operated smoothly and had a feel and look of quality.

Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Lightweight; Strong Construction

Color Not Quite Accurate; Color Was Not As Good As; Inconsistent Focus Issues
