Bridge cameras continue to be one area of the compact camera market that remains buoyant in an otherwise declining arena. The HX400 is one of the larger bridge models available, closely resembling an entry-level or even enthusiast DSLR/T in overall body size at least.

I have owned over a dozen camera's from different makes and models, amonst others several SONY's. My last purchase was a SONY DSC-HX400V and I have been a proud owner of this device for 2.5 years during which the device worked without problems.

Best feature of DSC-hx400V after 3 years

I have been using my 400V now for 3 years. The pictures have been outstanding. There are some tricks to make the pictures highest quality possible and I use them constantly. (1) a button on top nest to shutter release when pushed opens a window that allows you to set non standard contrast, color...

I Love it!

I love it! I've only been using this camera for about 2 weeks now and I can say I am so amaze of the image quality of this camera. It does everything and the zoom range is awesome. I strongly recommend Sony and Crutchfield to anyone looking for a great digicam.

Pros: The mega zoom is amazing; I'm very pleased with this camera so far

Cons: The lens cap has no string; attached to it; it's easy misplace

Great camera and ABT was fantastic!

I love this camera. Being a casual camera user the Sony is very easy to use with help screens for all menu functions. It is also feature rich with automatic viewfinder detection, Wi-Fi, GPS and fantastic Ziess lens. I think I made a great choice! For the price it can't be beat.

Awesome

Camera takes great detailed pictures even from a distance. I couldn't decide what camera to get, but I'm so glad I choose this one!!! Next week I'm off to Alaska and I can't wait to see the shots I'll capture.

Easy to Use; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Battery Life; Good in Low Light; Great Resolution; Great Zoom; Large Clear LCD

GREAT PICTURES!!!!

Takes amazing pictures!!!! I am a total armature photographer and just wanted a nice quick point and click camera. I tried the Cannon Quick Shot camera but the photos were horrible, blurry and out of focus, I am an armature photographer but know how to operate a basic camera.

Great value/price. Outstanding camear....best point n' shoot camera

Fantastic camera. Great features. Easy to use. Colors are the best. Light weight. Only downside for me is no RAW format and the processing delay time between photos. Price was the best I could find.....outstanding deal.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400 review

Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-HX400 is the successor to the HX300, and with a very impressive 50x optical zoom that has a 35mm focal-length equivalent of 24-1200mm it is a true ‘super-zoom'. However, while the HX400 supersedes the HX300, the new model has relatively few improvements over its predecessor.
