I'm happy with this lens - expensive - but good. Cash back is a problem. You have to wait 30 days (hoping we forget maybe) Then type in serial number and photography serial number etc. They seem to look for any tiny reason not to pay out cashback.

What does this mean ?
The Sony FE 24mm F/1.4 GM isn't what we'd call the perfect glass. We had to fix some issues of purple fringing and vignetting in post. Granted, they were very minimal and practically invisible to the untrained eye.
You'll need some deep pockets, but if you've been holding out for Sony to launch a high-quality wide-angle prime, you won't be disappointed with the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM.
Excellent image quality, Beautiful bokeh, Lightweight design, Fast AF
Pricey
The Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM is an outstanding wide-angle prime lens with a very fast maximum aperture, although the high asking price is certainly reflective of the performance and image quality on offer.
The Sony MILC (Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera) lens lineup would not be complete without a high quality, wide-aperture 85mm prime lens to satisfy the discerning needs of bokeh-loving portrait photographers everywhere.
EXCELLENT lense. Awesome bokeh, accurate focus, magnificent color rendering, Very sharp... it's a lense every portrait photographer dream and wish for. Well constructed product.
Extremely sharp; fantastic bokeh; magnificent color rendering
Very well constructed; But, plastic; It's price is high; And, Regards it's weight, it's a kind of heavy; Other wise, IT'S AMASING !!!
I have the Sony 85 f/1.8 and also the Canon 85 f/1.2L lens. I am not going to write an extensive review here, i see that most have already been said. However, i did an extensive side by side with the Sony 85 f/1.8 and f/1.4 and the GM lens definitely have better image quality and shows significantly...
Produces a very beautiful image, much like the Canon 85 L-- though perhaps not quite as etherial. It is a little more consistently 'real' from that perspective. The downside is it's more suited for studio because the auto focus can be a little slow.
