Everything that i had hoped it would be!

I always dreamed of owning a Nikon 70-200 2.8, but the high cost kept me from making the purchase. After reading the reviews on the Tamron version of this lens, I decided to take a chance on it. I was not disappointed. This is a solid professional grade lens.

Fast / accurate auto-focus; Great in Low Light; Nice Bokeh; Strong Construction; Very Sharp

Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Lens: A Fast Zoom For Full-Frame D-SLRs

The 70-200mm focal length has been the standard tele-zoom choice for many years, offering near normal to a good tele range that suits many practical purposes. Yet, quite a few stock-in-trade 70-200mm lenses had been slow or lost significant aperture as soon as you left the shortest zoom setting,...

Great lens so far

These are great lens. I´ve bought used but in mint condition item from Japan and I am really satisfied. Used about month and taken ca 2000 pics with it. Great bokeh and detailed quality. I have Canon D550 camera and going to change it for full frame D6 or D5 to get most light from lens. Good buy!

Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD SP review by nighthunter

My first 70-200mm so cannot compare to Nikon or Canon Lens. On the D800 feels well balanced. Can see the VR kick in when 1/2 depressing focus button.Seems to focus quickly. Images with the D800 and this lens. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0cv68b6xettyblx/olivia%201.jpg?

Seems to be well built

At £1 under a grand, the Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD is still considerably cheaper than equivalent models from Canon, Nikon and Sony, which cost between £1600 and £2200. With both Vibration Control (except Sony fit) and a wide f/2.8 aperture, the Tamron is right at home in low light shooting...

A Very Solid Competitor to Canon L

I bought this lens to replace the 70-200mm f/4l Canon I had. I am kicking myself for NOT doing it sooner!! Honestly, I should have just saved and bought this first. It is a solid solid lens no joke. The color is amazing, it's razor sharp, killer in low light, and just does what it's supposed to.

Razor Sharp; Superb Color; Has VC; Affordable; and a 6yr Warranty too

Not a single one
