Having plagued Sony for years, the curse of smartphone stagnation is knocking on Apple's door. Given the rapid rate of progress over the last nine years it was inevitable that eventually the iPhone would become an annual evolution and no longer a revolution.

Has gone from 4 to 5, for 6+ and then to this. Each step of the development has been tremendously satisfying, and even now. This is the best iPhone I have taken so far, and although the step from 6+ not feel as great as in the previous models, so it definitely feels as if moving in the right...

iPhone 7 Plus from Vodafone

Unlike a lot of phones that have a ‘plus' or extra ‘enhanced' version where the differences may only be minimal this has a big difference that you do not even need to measure it to see it's the overall screen size which is a lot larger.

Apple iPhone 7 32GB Black MN8X2X/A review

The gap between iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 isn’t as great as you think, and for the right price, this is still an excellent pick if you’re not chasing the latest bleeding-edge iPhone and want to save some money.

The iPhone 7 still has the biggest key features you’d want: a fast processor, water resistance, a more durable solid-state home button, and still really good cameras with rear optical image stabilization; iOS 12 should help this phone perform even better than on iOS 11.

Lacks the extra speed and improved camera quality of the iPhone 8; No fancy Face ID or other iPhone X-type designs, which will likely spread to other iPhones soon in the fall; No headphone jack (an adapter comes in the box); No wireless charging.

iPhone 7 review

The iPhone 7 is an evolution of the 6S, so if you were expecting a revolution you’ll probably be slightly disappointed. However, aside from the underwhelming battery life, it is an excellent phone. It’s waterproof, has fantastic cameras and performance, and the new stereo speakers sound great. There’s now 32GB of storage as a minimum, which helps to mitigate the higher prices. If you have an iPhone 6s, it’s hard to justify upgrading (even for some people with a 6) but if you’re out of contract and want a small phone, it’s the best Apple has made yet.
