Pairs really well with a 2070 super. Runs any game I throw at it without an issue. And the integrated cooler is quite good to the point that you will probably not need to get an aftermarket one

Great performance, outperforms the i5 9600k unless the latter is overclocked very high. Very fast multi-core speeds for editing photos. Gaming it pushes through anything I shove at it without breaking a sweat. Even if i'm pushing games at 100+ fps, i've never seen the overall CPU usage rise above 50-60% in games, my GTX 1660ti (a great 1080p card) is the bottleneck for this thing. Highly recommend to everyone building a gaming rig/editing rig
Upgraded from the AMD Fx 6300 black edition, and wow - this thing effectively upped the performance by 3 - 4x to say the least. Put it this way, it took more than 2 hours just to do a full hard drive scan with the 6300. With the Ryzen 5 3600, I did it in 26 minutes. Everything is smooth, no hiccups and easy to install. CPU is unlocked from the get go but my mobo's (Gigabyte B450 Gaming X) EasyTune software doesn't recognize it as a overclock-able CPU, hence it's necessary to overclock from BIOS only or a software better than EasyTune. CPU's temps are manageable, the wraith cooler is good. My only gripe is that it has a audible "whine" and...view more
Good Price, Good Quality, Good Temperatures. There is nothing to complain about. 3rd Gen Ryzen with superb power. If you are trying to decide between this and the 3600X. The X is not worth the extra price.
literally a i7-8700k but way cheaper and has better peformance
