This board is top rate i have used it many ...

This board is top rate i have used it many times in several systems using i7 all the way to top of the line Intel i9 processors. I used the Noctua LS12 cooler , Kingston HyperX DDR4 and SSD drives. Nothing faster.

Immpressive motherboard

This board is great and works amazingly with the Intel i9-7940x. This board is capable of serious overclocking but if you overclock it make sure you can cool it or you'll regret it.

Several reviews I went through before buying this board stated the VRM heats way up; I have found this to be entirely false unless you are jacking up the voltage during overclocking, then tbh this should be expected.

Haven't really found any weaknesses with this board; but one thing you need to keep in mind is the screws for the heatsink of the M.2 are very tiny so make sure you have a screw driver that is small enough or you will strip them

"Well designed and well priced"

I've closely scrutinized many mother boards during 2017. This one get my pick for best value considering premium features/design and performance.

The ASUS PRIME X299 DELUXE is loaded with so many features; it's equipped to tackle pretty much anything.

Wireless AD; Excellent Quality; ThunderBolt 3.0; Tons of Fans and Sensors

No 4-way; Very Complex Routing

ASUS Prime X299-Deluxe Motherboard Review

Critical to the operation of a high-end system is its motherboard. The ASUS Prime X299-Deluxe in a high-end part using Intel's new LGA 2066 socket. Features worthy of note include 802.11ad (WiGig) WiFi, an onboard OLED display, and a smart method for cooling M.2 SSDs.

Strong power delivery components with a supplementary 4-pin power connector; Excellent fan control system with plenty of headers; Robust UEFI and OS software; LiveDash OLED display is a unique feature; Solid RGB LED lighting system; Strong WiFi solution; Thunderbolt 3 and U.2 support

MOSFET heatsink is poorly designed for handling Skylake-X CPUs; PCIe slot layout is inefficient; especially with the bundled Thunderbolt 3 card; OLED display positioning is questionable (blocked by a large air cooler)

Great features, nothing I didn't want

I had already bought a graphics card, so I didn't want a board that came with one already. This one didn't have one built in, and I'm happy. I used 64G (expandable to 128G) memory, 650 watt power supply, Intel i7 7800, and I've water-cooled the CPU - much quieter than fans.

Eventually works with i9

I bought this board with an Intel Core i9-7920X Processor. It did not work out-of-the-box, I had to update the bios using the specific USB 2.0 port and button at the back, you have to have a USB 2.0 device.

If the intel I9 is the brain of your rig, then this is the spine for your nervous system. It installed easily and is running smoothly. Deluxe has more ports and Wi-Fi Capability. For me Wi-Fi is not an option and a gaming rig so why add parts I will not need.

1; Quality (sound, layout, build, cooling control, 2; Great mouse controlled bios, 3; Works great with Intel I9, 4; Adds flashy display affects into your visibly open Rig, 5; Turbo Core App

a; No built in video port (if video card has problems, b; Access to internal Sata ports is a little trying (case dependant
