First the Pros: It is a very good board with lots of features. Some fancy lighting onboard that has nothing to do with performance and more you can order and add. You can have up to 3 M.2 drives, with is good if you like fast. Cons: It installed pretty well EXCEPT for the CPU power connectors.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming Review

ASUS ROG Strix motherboards have become increasingly popular amongst the enthusiast and gamers markets, mainly for their unique styling and dedication to the RGB scene. This time around, with the Z390-E Gaming, we get an even darker guise, shedding most of its flashier components.

+ Eye-catching design; stylish; + Includes extensive RGB features w/ addressable RGB header; + Excellent performance; + Great overclocking tools; + Uses strengthened PCI Express & memory slots; + Includes integrated rear IO cover; + Good amount of fan headers; + Flexible storage options; + Includes...

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming review

Hmm, you know what I like the STRIX quite a lot, it's a stable platform, feature rich and has got proper WIFI. Somehow though the looks, while okay, are a bit lackluster I mean compare it to the HERO review you've probably just read. Perf wise it is all mostly the same.

Ample fan headers; Good USB provision; LED expansion headers; Onboard WiFi; Dual cooled M.2 slots; Diagnostic LEDs; MemOK switch; Neutral styling; High quality audio implementation; Supplementary VRM fan accessory

"only" a 4-phase VRM; Only one onboard RGB lighting zone; compatibility issues with new versions of AURA RGB software

Great Package Deal

I was looking for a good motherboard with upgradability options for the future. I purchased this board over the Maximus due to EXTREMELY similar specs. Honestly, I could not justify a reason to spend 50 extra dollars or so for the Maximus when this delivers just as effectively.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming

Intel launched the 9th Generation Core i7 9900K in mid-October to much fanfare as the first 8-core, 16 thread processor Intel processor for a mainstream platform. In the past core counts above four were usually run on Intel's High-End Desktop platform motherboards and came with an exorbitant price...
