If the only photos you want to scan are prints, that can be a problem, because adding the ability to scan film adds cost as well. Fortunately, it works the other way too. Leaving the film scan feature out translates to a lower price. As I pointed out when I reviewed the Canon CanoScan LiDE 100 ($59.99, 4 stars) that the LiDE 110 replaces in Canon's line, this can make the scanner an all but irresistible bargain. I've had it for three months, it works well. We use a similar scanner at work, that's why I decided to get this. I knew it wasn't going to be fast, but I don't use it often. I would recommend this to a family on a budget, or anyone that needs a scanner one day out of the week.

I won't lie; it's a little slow

An excellent scanner well worth the money , easy to use and set up and delivers excellent results . A great buy and I highly recommend this. Why the Canon Well I decided to take the plunge and buy a scanner . My experience of scanners hasn't been great.

A great flatbed scanner with good price to quality ratio, obviously well built and compact. You can't beat Canon on printers, cameras and scanners.

If you need a simple, inexpensive scanner that works great this is the one for you. Push one button to scan and create a PDF file to email or store. Also included is OCR text recognition software to convert typed document into text files. For scanning documents and such this is an excellent choice.

The Canon LiDE 110 Flatbed Scanner is a good quality low end photo scanner and as long as keep that in mind you will be happy

Even though sometimes I might need a larger Scan Bed, I find that this Scanner works great with anything up to 8.5"x11". Almost everything I need to Scan is smaller than 8.5"x11". Also has the same dimensions as a 15.6" Laptop, but less weight. It is great for portable use. I love it.
