Works Great

We've had this for over two years, still use it a couple of times a month. No issues.

Crystal clear; no issues in storage; easy to go from one to the other

None I can think of

Disapointed

The information stated that if used with an eos cannon the zoom would be 85 t0 400mm and it is not I should have gottin the 75 to 350 for a $150.00 half the price and better zoom.

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Lens Review

Gary Wolstenholme reviews this new telephoto zoom lens from Canon, the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM.

Great sharpness in the centre throughout the zoom range; Lightweight; Fast focusing; Effective stabiliser

Plastic lens mount may put some buyers off this lens; Quite expensive compared to its predecessor

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f4.0-5.6 IS lens

Available for less than $300, the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS is a lightweight, affordable first or second lens to complement your entry-level or midrange digital SLR. With its 400mm-equivalent focal length, you get the reach and angle of view desirable for shooting portraits and sports, or just...

Lightweight and compact; affordably priced; very usable manual focus capability; optical image stabilization for sharper handheld photos at slow shutter speeds

All-plastic construction, which is less durable than metal; sharpness falls off at 250mm where it is likely to see a lot of use

Great lens

I bought this lens a couple weeks ago and was very surprised how great this lens is. I was even more surprised on how great it did taking macros. This is one lens that everyone should have in there bag.

Consistent Output; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Nice Bokeh; Rugged; Strong Construction

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

I purchased this used on Ebay for 138.00. I have used the ISII version of this lens. While I was impressed with that lens I must say this one is even sharper. I purchased this STM model to complement the kit 18-55stm that came with my SL1.

sharp; silent and built solid

Really nothing so far
