I needed a replacement lens, something affordable but that could help me capture the moments, sometimes from afar. This lens has worked great. The quality of the photos have been great and the value for the price is unmatched.
I wished I would have bought a stronget telephoto lens. However it did well in low light when I shot my daughter in her school play.
Consistent Output; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight
This is a light weight and inexpensive lens which takes very sharp photos at any focal length. Considering the crop factor (1.6) for my Canon T7i camera, it provides an effective telephoto focal length range of 88-400 mm. Excellent! Only downside is that the mount is plastic not metal.
The information stated that if used with an eos cannon the zoom would be 85 t0 400mm and it is not I should have gottin the 75 to 350 for a $150.00 half the price and better zoom.

Regarding the recently reviewed EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS I was prepared to receive another el-cheapo plastic lens but, honestly, the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS did surprise me here a bit. Sure, it is not build like a tank but the plastic quality is fairly decent and the tolerances are pretty tight.
