Exactly what I was looking for. I was tired of the buggy interface of my Asus Strix DLX soundcard so upgraded to this. It's nice not having any drivers as everything is customised via the touchscreen.

I compared getting this vs getting a decent sound card with external MAP… And originally went for the sound card. Ended up getting this GSX1000 on a great special, and its an awesome upgrade on even a good soundcard. Great DAC and AMP qualities.

I've had the GSX1000 Amp (and GSP500 headset) for about a year and they work extremely well together. The virtual surround sound (7.1) from the Amp is exceptional. The main game I have been playing is Realm Royale which produces very complex "3D / 7.1" sounds - I can hear all the sounds clearly and tell what direction footsteps, mounts, gunshots are coming from etc. Even though the 7.1 surround sound is simulated (Headphones only have 2 speakers after all) the sound is very realistic and sound direction is easy to determine after a few hours usage (I think one's ear (brain) has to learn how to use the virtual sound?). The Amp works well with my 2017 iMac (and Win10) games. The controls on the Amp are amazingly well setup and easy to use. I had no trouble setting up the amp under Win10, and slight problems on my iMac. If the instructions are followed very closely they get you there! Once setup the Amp has worked faultlessly every time under Win10 and MacOS.

The Sennheiser GSX 1000 Audio Amplifier is a beautiful external USB sound card equipped with the best 7.1 virtual surround sound system we've heard so far, and a host of other interesting features primarily aimed towards hardcore gaming.

Not much besides one usb cable to connect your device to your computer and of course your headphones/speakers to the amp. set windows playback speakers to 7.1 and you're done. the rest of the settings are on the amp itself.

Product looks super sexy. The design is fantastic. Unfortunately... this product needs a 2.0 version. The presets are incredibly overly sensitive to even the slightest motion... I had to set all the presets to the same thing because even simply waving my hand over it would change it a different...
