Scanning is most effective when hardware and software work together. It's a bit like some black-and-white film developers that mix Metol and hydroquinone for a super-additive outcome. They work much better together than either one alone.

Nice scanner. Does as you'd expect. I've done reflective originals and slides but haven't done any negatives, yet. I'm using it with both Vue Scan and Epson software. The Vue Scan seems a lot faster. Also, this scanner is much quicker than my old 1270 scanner.

I am using this scanner with Mac OS Snow Leopard, and it works great. The Epson scanning software is easy to configure and use, and the scanner also works well with Image Capture. The front panel buttons on the unit were automagicly tied into the Epson software set, with no user setup required.

I've told you almost everything in the heading. I bought a new computer and couldn't use my old Epson scanner. This one is much faster, and I've had no errors or problems with it after about 2 months. The software is excellent.

I haven't had it hooked up long enough to give 5 Stars across the board. I didn't have any trouble setting it up but disappointed that I can only scan 4 slides at a time however, if the scans are good it will be worth it. So far, good.

I am very disappointed. I have an Epson SureColor P800,for my high end amateur printing and have used my Epson Artisan 810 for routine printing and for scanning photo memories (I do not feel the need to scan these at high quality).

The V600 works well and is easy to use. It's set up for Windows 7 but I went on the Epson website and downloaded the application for Windows 10. Have scanned all formats so far with no issues. Using higher resolution slows the process but it's still worth the effort. Excelllent clarity!

As I am doing a lot with family history, this scanner has more than enough features to reproduce clear and precise pictures from old negatives and with the extra features to remove old blemishes and restore them to their original state.

I bought this unit about one month ago and have scanned over 1,000 old (some over 50 years old) 35 mm slides. The results have been excellent. My only complaint is that the numbering stops at 999 and starts repeating. Small issue but surprised.
