ok...

If you remember that this is intended to be a portable scanner, then you're expectations will be well set. I have an Epson V-500 photo scanner that I really like. The problem was that it didn't do legal size scans because the bed didn't accomodate it (makes sense).

Don't know why I did not buy this years ago.

This is a great product. Get rid of all those business cards and all the paper you can't live without. Scan them all to a file and look at them when you feel like it.

Works well

I had the popular DSmobile 600, but it stopped working when I upgraded to Windows 8.1 and the new drivers and scan program for Windows 8.1 only worked sporadically, so I was happy that this works fine with my ASUS T100 notebook / tablet combination. It has a sleek look.

A very good portable scanner, which can be used at home or in a public library/archive.

It is a very compact and at the same time a very reliable scanner, which can be used almost anywhere. I use it at home for archiving my old family photos as well as for archiving documents. On several occasions I used it in a library for scanning single pages.

While flatbed scanners can be picked up for next to nothing, sheet-fed scanners tend to be pricey purchases, typically starting at several hundred pounds. The DS-30, though, is rather cheaper. Even its top price of £180 is fairly low, and it can be snapped up for closer to £100 if you shop around.

I Like it

really handy for a road warrior like me. I really like to do as little paperwork at home as possible. this device makes me much more efficient on the road.

Small!, Powers off of USB (from a laptop) with no issues; Takes good quality pictures and doesn't take forever to do it; has a nice carry case as well; papers routinely go through without getting chewed or fold in any way; TWAIN! meaning that it will happily interface with third party software

Price, I was hoping for a device that simply is a document feed scanner was a little cheaper; (but they are all this way) Software, as most devices these days the manufacturer software is hugely bloated and very slow; I recommend using something like NAPS2, works very well

Product is compact and easy to store in our caravan

Good size when there is limited space for storage, and the carry bag is very good to keep it clean and safe. Easy to scan although the software was little difficult to download.
