Garmin VivoActive Review

After wearing the Vívoactive for two weeks, we still can't really decide if this is the easiest to use GPS watch we've ever tested, or the most complex fitness tracking band. But that's a good thing.

On-board GPS and step tracking; ANT+ sensor connectivity; Waterproof to 5 ATM; Smart Notifications (phone; text; email

Only one programmable alarm; Sleep tracking lacks detail; Menus can be complex

This is a good size watch that includes GPS built in. It works well for running and biking and step counter. I have not used it for swimming or golf.

Garmin vivoactive

Garmin vivofit Review Garmin vivosmart Review Watch My GPS - Activity Watch Roundup It's safe to say that the ever-growing realm of smartwatches is still looking for its champion.

Lightweight and comfortable design; Long lasting battery performance; Precise activity measurements

A tad expensive; Straps attract dirt and dust; Requires additional hear rate strap

Track your fitness activities in high detail with this comfortable smartwatch

Being able to track your daily level of activity is the first step towards maintaining a healthy (or healthier) lifestyle. Gadgets such as a simple Fitbit are a good entry point because they can measure steps in real-time and allow you to set daily goals, providing motivation to move.

GPS tracking; Comfortable to wear; Lots of metrics to digest

App and Web interface could stand to be a little clearer; Step count was a little off

Garmin Vivoactive review

Most smartwatches aren't all that great for people who actually exercise: runners, swimmers and cyclists. Without GPS, a watch is just left guessing your speed and distance based on how fast you move your arms. Even the ones that currently have GPS don't often make great use of it.

Garmin Vivoactive smartwatch review

For me, Garmin's Edge remains a delight but while the Vivoactive hasn't won me over, it's an affordable and attractive option for swimmers, runners and golfers. There are better 'general' activity trackers, and it's a shame that Garmin didn't integrate a heart-rate monitor.

Garmin vivoactive GPS Watch

Do you like to be active away from the course as well? The vivoactive watch will help you there, too. This product includes tracking for running, biking, walking, swimming, and more. Also, it can pair up with your smart phone to give you alerts when you have a call, text, email, etc.

Garmin Vivoactive HR hands-on review

We are really, really impressed by this smartwatch. It offers a huge array of features in a compact, comfortable and practical package that will meet the needs of most athletes, whether amateur or professional. And for just over £200, we think it's a bit of a bargain, particularly when you consider that it offers GPS, notifications and an app store for adding yet more tools and features when you need them.

love it

Really pleased with this watch, syncs easily with my Samsung phone & very easy to use features. I use it constantly but only need to charge around once a week, would definitely recommend.

I am a swimmer and this watch is awesome!

I have tried the vivofit and vivo and both were good for walking and steps etc but never tracked my swimming. This will track my swimming and keep my steps separate. It also has a band that is more secure than the other vivo and that is how I lost my last one - the snaps came loose and I didn't feel...
