Garmin Vivoactive HR Review: Seriously Impressive

The Garmin Vivoactive HR is potentially the only fitness tracker you'll ever need to buy…

Useful Display; Tons of Features; Accurate Tracking; Water Resistant; Pairing With Phone; GPS-Support, So No Need For Phone; Collects MASSES of Data

Design's Rather Chunky; App Has A Learning Curve

GARMIN vivoactive HR - Black, Medium

Great range of apps and easy to use straight out of the box

Bit bulky (presumably to accommodate the HR monitor) so not really an all day; everyday watch for smaller wrists

Garmin vivoactive HR GPS Smartwatch Review

The Garmin vivoactive HR is the flagship mid-range sport watch from Garmin. Think of it as the fenix 3 HR Lite. It supports running (indoor/out), cycling (indoor/out), swimming (open water only), golf, snowboarding, skiing, and you can create your own sport profiles for activities like yoga,...

Affordable price; Full-color; sunlight-readable display; Optical HR sensor with ability to pair to external HR monitor; GPS-built in with nearly all sport profiles as well as custom profiles; Supports stored and streamed music

Durability concerns due to plastic casing; HR sensor is not great for dynamic movements; Does not pair with HRM Tri or HRM Swim; Lacks some of the training features of other GPS watches (VO2 max; etc.

Nice runners watch

I bought this watch to replace a forerunner 110. It is almost everything I wanted. I would have liked to have seen more smartwatch functionality. This would have probably put it out of my price range and caused it to be thicker though.

Accurate GPS built in; Some smartwatch functions; Nice looking.great battery life

Could be brighter; Could use more smartwatch functionality

Unreliable and flakey

I bought this watch in May 2016. It has many impressive features and apps but it is unreliable and flakey. For example, it constantly resets the units from my selected metric and 24 hour time format to miles and yards and 12 hour time.

became NOT water resistant in 8 moth

Main problem of a quality build (water gets inside) not only makes it useless in just 8 month, but hurts badly reputation of Garmin!

Very good in all except most important - quality bild

Leaks water inside and dies in 8 month of use

Better Than the Rest, But Not Perfect

I will never be able to go back to Fitbit having experienced the wonders of Garmin. For people wanting to track multiple sports, look no farther. For those looking for a stylish piece of jewelry, keep looking.

Have Watch Will Travel

I would have given the Vivoactive HR 5 Stars if it wasn't for the dim display. I don't think that you should have to turn the backlight on to clearly see the display indoors. Take note also that the music widget is nothing more than a remote control for your phone. No phone no music.

Fits great, Charges fast, GPS links up quickly; You can add your own activity to the list, Reminds you when you are inactive, Good battery life

Poor setup instructions; Dim display, Music and temperature does not work without your phone, Will not connect to any of my Android Tablets
