It was fine for one and half year

I was very happy with my adquisition, I bought it in feb 2017 but my garmin vivoactive HR suddenly died drowned in a pool last month. I noticed water infiltration and it is not longer responding.

I am a swimmer and this watch is awesome!

I have tried the vivofit and vivo and both were good for walking and steps etc but never tracked my swimming. This will track my swimming and keep my steps separate. It also has a band that is more secure than the other vivo and that is how I lost my last one - the snaps came loose and I didn't feel...

Garmin Vivoactive HR review

So yes, there are other more chic watches that will do some of the same things. For a few quid either side of £200 though, depending where you shop, the understated Vivoactive HR is packed to the gills with long-lasting easy-to-use and rewarding fitness cleverness.

Five day battery life; Tracks a variety of activities; Leave your phone at home: it's got GPS

ASBO bracelet chic; Few downloadable apps

Garmin's Vivoactive HR is more hardcore than Fitbit's Surge

Garmin makes over 25 different fitness wearables that range from $99 to as high as $699. You can say this for Garmin-confusing as that lineup can be, the company has made a device for everyone .

Chroma display is easy to read in sunlight; Can track multiple sports and activities; including swimming; skiing; and stand-up paddle-boarding; Built-in heart rate monitor is always-on and doesn't suck up a lot of battery life; Built-in GPS is super-fast and seamless to use

Garmin Connect has a lot of information and options which can make navigating it and completing simply tasks confusing; App takes a long time to start producing personal insights; The Vivoactive HR could get lost in the shuffle amidst all the other devices competing at this price point
