Battery Life.......

The picture quality is great, but it better be for the price. Lack of interchangeable batteries is this unit's Achilles heel. Even at lowest settings, 120 minutes battery life is beyond it's limit. At max settings, ~40 minutes. NOT WORTH IT FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE!

Tiny & light: 1st class images

This is a great camera. I use it attached to my helmet with the mount included in the box. It's so light you don't even know it's there and the sound/picture quality is excellent. I use it for scenery capture and getting still images.

GoPro Hero5 Session

GoPro launched a smaller, simpler action camera last year in the Hero4 Session . Simplicity meant it lacked the ability to record 4K, or even 2.7K video. The new Hero5 Session changes that.

Records 4K footage; Excellent video quality for the size; Waterproof without a case

No viewfinder; Awkward controls; No external mic support without an adapter

Review: GoPro Hero5 Black and Hero5 Session

GoPro is the first-if not only-name most people think of when it comes to action cameras. It's not just because the company conquered the market early, but also because its cameras have remained the best and most widely used for a long while.

Both cameras are waterproof without cases; Excellent touchscreen on the Hero5 Black, finally; Voice controls are neat; Best in class image at the resolution you'll use most; Hero5 Session is much improved

GPS doesn't do much yet; Recording indicator on the Hero5 Black is too dim; Cameras are not as sharp in 4K

GoPro Hero 5 Session

The Hero 5 Session sees the return of the cubic form factor that GoPro debuted with last year's Hero Session (originally launched as the Hero 4 Session). But where the Hero Session initially struggled to find its footing, launching at the same price as the better-performing Hero 4 Silver (£330),...

Great image quality; Sensitive dual microphones; Small size opens up mounting options; Easy operation

Non-removable battery; No WDR or RAW support for still images; No GPS

GoPro HERO5 Session

The GoPro HERO5 Session was announced at the same time as the HERO5 Black, and is intended as an entry-level action camera - or some people may want to consider it as a second camera for the more advanced HERO5 Black.

GoPro Hero 5 Session review: Size doesn't matter

Last year's GoPro Hero 4 Session was a small, barebones action camera. It was so simple, in fact, that it didn't even have the fancy 4K video recording of its bigger, more expensive counterparts.

Video recording at max 4K resolution; Wind noise reduction; Discreet

Lacklustre still image quality

GoPro Karma Grip review

The Karma Grip delivers silky smooth video when you're moving around, is very easy to use and battery life is good. It's a shame that it only supports the Hero 5 Black out of the box, and there are no harnesses for Session cameras or even the Hero 3 range.

GoPro Hero 5 Session : Size doesn’t matter

The super-portable GoPro Hero 5 Session isn’t quite the Hero 5 Black all-rounder, but is still a touch above the rest

Video recording at max 4K resolution; Wind noise reduction; Discreet;

Lacklustre still image quality;
