I went through 2 as my HTPC controller, if you like getting up walking all the way over to your PC to unplug the dongle every 5 minutes then this is the keyboard combo for you! I will never buy hardware with "Microsoft" on it again.

The Samsung 58-inch UHD TV I bought earlier this year is a Smart TV with Internet capabilities and I wanted a keyboard that would work with it. The Microsoft Wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard fits the bill.
Like others, I bought this to replace a Logitech K400, which suffers from the worst keyboard layout in the history of computing. The keyboard layout on this is much better, but a slew of other issues make the keyboard unusable for me.
The Microsoft All-in-One Media keyboard is a strange beast: a wireless keyboard with a built-in touchpad and ease-of-access keys. So, here's how we're going to tackle this one: with Netflix finally in the country we've decided to review this one both as a "normal" desk-bound keyboard, as well as a...
4 stars due to no led for caps lock toggle. Find this very annoying and even the Microsoft software doesn't allow to show an on screen caps lock toggle icon so I'm guessing all the time if I've left caps on or off. Apart from that good living room/bedroom (no room for desk) keyboard!
Very good product happy buy another. Quick delivery aswell
The All-in-One Media Keyboard does a lot with a little, delivering a wireless keyboard-plus-touch-pad appropriate for any living room at a price below reproach.
Zero setup time; Quiet keys; Compact; lightweight design
Several conventional (but secondary) keys left out; Touch pad was slightly erratic; Might have offered a little more functionality or comfort with empty space
Like the Logitech K830, the Microsoft All-in-One has a full size keyset accompanied by a touchpad on the right hand side for mouse control. It doesn't have the premium feel or lighting of the Logitech, but it is available at less than half the price.
Geared toward controlling a living-room PC connected to a large display or HDTV from across the room, the Microsoft All-in-One Media Keyboard ($39.95) has a lot to offer. This slim and light keyboard feels sturdy, provides a smooth typing experience, and has a good set of media-oriented function...
Inexpensive; Very good wireless range; Built-in touchpad and mouse buttons; Supports gestures, including Windows 8; Good typing and touchpad experience
Somewhat cramped keyboard; Keys are not backlit
It was either this or the Logitech K400 for me. I chose this one in the end because the trackpad is slightly larger and the dedicated volume keys are pretty handy. This keyboard has a very slight raised angle which makes it easier to use on a lap or a desk.
