Bought my one X nearly 3 weeks ago, and absolutely love it. Loading times are in some case twice as fast as the normal Xbox one, and the 4K output is amazing. The 4K output works for games and Netflix, and is really easy to set up once you have enabled 4K output on your TVs HDMI output.

Out the box, just contact your external HDD to console, power on, there'll be an update to do, under 400k, takes no time at all. Sign in with you account details, and that's it. The body is now metal, and it's heavyer than I expected, but nothing outrageous.

The one point that I've tried to get across in this review is that the Xbox One X is the console you buy when you're all-in for the best gaming experience that you can possibly get.

This was a good purchase. It's much faster than my Day One XBOX. I'M BACK TO CONSOLE GAMING AGAIN FROM A PC GAMING HIATUS. Digital Foundry's constant barage of info and comparisons served as a major persuasion tool for me to take the One X plunge.

As for the Xbox One X's 4K HDR Blu-ray drive, we tested it by playing Planet Earth II. The results were absolutely stunning – with incredible amounts of detail that are complemented by beautiful vibrant colors.

If you don't already own an Xbox One, and have a 4K TV, it's worth getting. Otherwise, you should wait and see what 4K enhanced games come out as time goes on – it's not a worthwhile upgrade, yet.

There's no doubting the Xbox One X's power and, when it's fed games that have been programmed to tap into that, the audio-visual experience is best-in-class. Caveats to an instant purchase, however, include a high price and current lack of available titles that fully make use of its hardware.
