Extremely Powerful

Bought my one X nearly 3 weeks ago, and absolutely love it. Loading times are in some case twice as fast as the normal Xbox one, and the 4K output is amazing. The 4K output works for games and Netflix, and is really easy to set up once you have enabled 4K output on your TVs HDMI output.

Xbox One X

Out the box, just contact your external HDD to console, power on, there'll be an update to do, under 400k, takes no time at all. Sign in with you account details, and that's it. The body is now metal, and it's heavyer than I expected, but nothing outrageous.

Xbox One X review: It's the best you can get

The one point that I've tried to get across in this review is that the Xbox One X is the console you buy when you're all-in for the best gaming experience that you can possibly get.

Since its entry into the console gaming space nearly two decades ago, Microsoft positioned the Xbox brand as one that focused on power. The original Xbox, and the Xbox 360 reflected this, with both of them having some of the best looking and technically astounding games of their respective...

Worthy upgrade over the Xbox One S; Improves a lot of games; Excellent build quality

Not available officially yet; Microsoft's download system needs work

4k HDR Netflix Amazon Prime and video games

This was a good purchase. It's much faster than my Day One XBOX. I'M BACK TO CONSOLE GAMING AGAIN FROM A PC GAMING HIATUS. Digital Foundry's constant barage of info and comparisons served as a major persuasion tool for me to take the One X plunge.

Xbox One X

As for the Xbox One X's 4K HDR Blu-ray drive, we tested it by playing Planet Earth II. The results were absolutely stunning – with incredible amounts of detail that are complemented by beautiful vibrant colors.

Great value for the amount of performance you're getting; Xbox One X enhanced games look and play brilliantly on a 4K HDR TV; comes with a 4K HDR Blu-ray drive; backward compatibility game catalog is quite large; sleek and compact design; improves the gaming experience on a 1080p TV too

Game files are large and you'll quickly fill up your hard drive

Xbox One X Review: It's the Next, Next Generation of Gaming

If you don't already own an Xbox One, and have a 4K TV, it's worth getting. Otherwise, you should wait and see what 4K enhanced games come out as time goes on – it's not a worthwhile upgrade, yet.

Review: Microsoft's Xbox One X

T he future is sitting on my shelf right now. This premium console, sporting a highly advanced processor, can play games from across three generations of consoles. It also includes a drive for a brand new home-media disc format for watching movies and playing games at a higher resolution than we've...

Xbox One X review: watch the unboxing and gameplay, read our verdict, and find out if it beats the PS4 Pro

There's no doubting the Xbox One X's power and, when it's fed games that have been programmed to tap into that, the audio-visual experience is best-in-class. Caveats to an instant purchase, however, include a high price and current lack of available titles that fully make use of its hardware.

New 4K games look phenomenal; Ultra HD Blu-ray player; Dolby Atmos compatible; Compact size and slim profile; Enhances old games

Very expensive; Uninspiring design; Small new 4K games library at launch
