Nikon DSLR D3400 Camera 2-Lens Kit Black

I bought the 2 lens D3400 bundle. I also own a Nikon D5100 but had dropped and broken my 18-55mm kit lens and was also looking to get a longer telephoto lens. The price of this D3400 with the two lenses was cheaper than replacing my broken lens and getting a telephoto.

"Nikon d3400"

The Nikon d3400 is a entry level dslr, an updated d3300 in essence aimed at novice users. First impressions are good guide mode for the novice users, if you just wanna shoot straight away along with automatic mode makes taking pictures out the box very easy.

Compact ,lightweight and good battery life

No touch screen

Nikon D3400

The Nikon D3400 is the company's entry-level model, which is designed to get those who are new to DSLR photography on the bandwagon – and in theory, to potentially make them customers for life.

Traditional DSLR styling and controls; Snapbridge; Long battery life; Simple to use

Fixed non-touch-sensitive screen; No Wi-Fi; No 4K video; Optical viewfinder doesn't offer 100% coverage

Nikon D3400 review: A fantastic budget DSLR

Digital SLR is a relatively mature technology, so finding something new and exciting to put into entry-level models isn't easy. It's debatable whether Nikon has risen to this challenge with the D3400.

Class-leading image and video quality; Solid performance; Competitive price

Controls are relatively basic; Bluetooth transfers could be more reliable

Replacing the 3300 this camera offers extended battery time to its predecessor in addition to snap-bridge technology, only bluetooth no wifi which means you get to download a 2MB (or original 11MB if you want but that takes a while) version of your shots immediately to your smartphone, lack of wifi...

Best Entry Camera from Nikon

Nikon has long held a solid position in the entry-level DSLR segment with its D3xxx series of cameras. For a while now, the Nikon D3300 has been the go-to choice for many, since it offers much better features and performance for the price than Canon's 1200D.

Compact and lightweight; Very good ISO performance; Bluetooth for file transfers; Improved battery life

Only a minor refresh of the D3300; No Wi-Fi; Display washes out under direct sunlight

Nikon D3400 review

The Nikon D3400 is Nikon's latest entry-level DSLR and succeeds the D3300 that came out in 2014. Despite the two-year gap between the two models, there doesn't initially appear to be all that much to separate them, at least not in terms of their key specs.

Small and easy to use; Generous range of exposure modes; Provides access to Nikon's huge lens range; Excellent image quality

Currently a little pricey compared to the D3300; Removal of external microphone jack
