Great way to get back into DSLR

I had long sold my previous DSLR-had gotten 'another' brand and wasnt happy- and thought I would stick to just a superzoom point and shoot, but then saw the D3400 double lens kit and thought, why not!

"Great Entry Level Camera"

I am by no means a great photographer, nor have I taken any photography classes, but this camera makes taking great photos a breeze! Simple to use, and easy to understand guide on the camera is a great help!

Nikon D3400 DSLR Review: SnapBridge Wireless Connectivity in an Affordable DSLR

My contention has always been that a real live camera affords superior image quality over any smartphone. But you know that already, especially when it comes to optical options, low-light capability, high ISO, video capability, and, perhaps most importantly, the experience of being able to see what...

Nikon makes DSLRs with two types of sensor – full-frame and APS-C. The new D3400 is Nikon's most entry-level camera, and takes on the smaller APS-C chip to keep costs down – Nikon calls this its DX range.

Nikon's D3400 is the latest entry level DSLR from Nikon, launched in September last year. The camera is updated version of D3300 with some upgraded specifications such as Bluetooth connectivity and longer battery life.

Super-compact light weight design; Captures high quality images; 24MP APS-C CMOS Sensor; 11-point PDAF system; 5-fps burst shooting; Can capture upto 1200 shots; 1080p Videos at 60fps; Good single shot AF system

No built-in Wifi; No touchscreen; No articulating screen; Slow image transmission via Snapbridge app; Average video features; Mediocre flash; Missing external microphone input; No GPS; Could have sensor cleaner just like other Nikon DSLR's

Nikon has long held a solid position in the entry-level DSLR segment with its D3xxx series of cameras. For a while now, the Nikon D3300 has been the go-to choice for many, since it offers much better features and performance for the price than Canon's 1200D.

Compact and lightweight; Very good ISO performance; Bluetooth for file transfers; Improved battery life

Only a minor refresh of the D3300; No Wi-Fi; Display washes out under direct sunlight

Nikon D3400 Review

Nikon's entry-level DSLR is small but sassy...

Great image quality for an entry-level camera; Great battery life; Easy to use

Underpowered flash; No sensor cleaning mechanism; SnapBridge wireless setup can be fiddly
