Good quality

The focus ring is smooth, the images are sharp and most of all the price is right. Would highly recommend

Very predictable and consistent lens

I'm using this lens on a D7100, so with the crop factor it captures images at 75mm equivalent. I'm quite happy with this lens, and have enjoyed the simplicity and consistency of this prime. It is sharp and fast to focus. It has worked well for some portrait work.

Great little lens

I have just bought this lens to use with my Nikon D5500 camera body. As this is a cropped sensor body it makes this lens a more or less 75mm equivalent, and with a maximum aperture of f1. 8, it becomes a great portrait lens. Image quality is excellent and the lens is compact and light.

Nice addition to my camera bag

Very nice, sharp and quickly-focusing lens. It's nice to use a fixed focal length lens and to concern yourself with composition and lighting and not having to worry about zooming in and out.

Nice sharp lens

Just Awesome

Bought it for me son and he likes it so much. Took few snaps and they're awesome big difference between prime and stock lenses - I wasn't agreeing with my son earlier but later I had to admit that prime lenses do make a difference.

Stunning Value

I bought this to use with my Nikon D850 and I'm very pleased with it. The picture quality is fantastic, the images are very sharp to my eye. I love how light this lens is, I tend to carry this to plug the gap between my 20mm F1.8 and my 70-200 F4 both of which I use more often, so the lightness and...

I got a Nikon d3500 as a gift after graduating from grad school, and I immediately started taking pictures. As much as I loved what I was getting with the lenses that came with the camera (SAMs Club value pack), I was not happy with the bokeh I was getting from the 4.8+ aperture of those lenses...

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR f/1.8G Lens review

This is a small and lightweight lens that can be carried around anywhere easily. However, the size should not be taken for its lack of performance. It can perform in any light condition, which is a stellar feature as far as the price goes.

Lightweight and easy to hold, Renders silky and natural-looking bokeh, Equipped with a super-fast and quiet autofocus, Subject and background mesh together beautifully, At full aperture, the resolution in the middle of the image is brilliant

Lens distortion issues are noticeable, Vignetting can be seen at full aperture, Aperture and vibration ring are not equipped
