If you're a Nikon shooter looking to buy a prime lens or two, you have lots of affordable options these days. The company recently refreshed its entire lineup of primes, and now offers G-series lenses in 20mm f/1.8, 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.8, and 85mm f/1.8 flavors.
It's not quite as sharp as the $1,800 35mm f/1.4G, but it's darn close for $600.
This is a must have for your collection. I and others end up leaving this lens on the camera for most everyday shoots. If you can get it with light room it really makes this a stellar deal as LR is a $100 software($60ish resale).
Probably one of the best values in lenses out there; toiled between the 35mm and 50mm lens, but after setting my kit lens to both, I decided on the 35 as the 50 just cut out too much of the subject and wouldn't work indoors very well; This is great for portraits and everyday walkaround use

An excellent choice for Dx format. Super sharp lens, light and inexpensive. Combined this with a zoom and you probably will not need another lens.
