This lens is a bargain! It lets you take great pictures and it's nice and light -- that's the plus side of it's mostly plastic construction. The downside is that you need to be careful with it. Treat it well and it will last for years though.

Sharpness is not that bad,nor is contrast or even color at f/8-f/11. But I never liked pictures taken with this lens so after awhile I replaced it.
