Great Investment

Great camera, with lots of good features. Gave 4 star as it doesn't come with inbuilt wifi and it has multiple focus point, which can cause problem.

Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Large Clear LCD; Quiet

Nikon D610 - A subtle update of the Nikon D600

Nikon's latest consumer pitched full frame DSLR in the D610 updates 2012's D600, and in doing so again offers the largest physical chip size to be found in a digital camera based on a 35mm film SLR, here boasting a top resolution of 24.3 megapixels.

Larger full frame sensor and weather sealed body nudges this DSLR into pro territory; workhorse like build; swift response times; large and bright optical viewfinder

No body-integral Wi-Fi connectivity; expensive if you don't need a full frame DSLR; chunky and bulky compared to consumer level sub £1000 DSLRs

Nikon's full-frame camera is a joy to use, provides excellent results

The D610 has a compact size that belies the full-frame sensor it houses within. It's sturdy and comfortable to hold, and it packs the traditional controls and functions you're already used to if you're a Nikon user.

Full-frame sensor; Great low-light performance; Feels comfortable to use

Screen doesn't have a hinge; Some slight chromatic aberration

Nikon D750

The D750 is Nikon's first full-frame DSLR with a tiltable display, which goes from about 90 degrees downwards to 75 degrees upwards.

Nikon D610

The D610 is the D600 for all photographic purposes. Image-quality is identical with very slightly improved AWB and speed. Truly, these changes are minimal. The D600 being an excellent DSLR, so is the D610 without a doubt. The Nikon D610 essentially replaces the D600 with an identical twin.

Class-leading image noise; Class-leading dynamic-range; Good color-accuracy after tweaking; Speedy autofocus; Generally fast and responsive; Ultra-short black-out; Flexible self-timer and exposure delay; Very sharp LCD; Highly customizable with plenty of controls; Dual memory cards can provide...

Under-exposure more frequent than usual; Light entering OVF skews metering; Increased softness at ISO 3200; Strong anti-alias filter; EC button placement not ideal; Indistinct ISO button; Poor Live-view; not Exposure-Priority; Bizarre Auto ISO; Exposure Delay mode hidden in menu; No 16:9 guidelines...

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR Lens

This is a very versatile focal range, good for event coverage and general purpose. A much cheaper option than the 24-70mm if budget is a concern.

NIKON D610 EXCEEDING ALL EXPECTATIONS

A NON-TECHIE REVIEW If you want to read all about the many technical details of the Nikon D610, this review is not for you. Several impressively sized books on the subject are available, the one that I purchased, just after getting the camera, manages to baffle rather than de-bunk whilst the...

It's nikon glass - have high expectations

Pros: Obviously works with my d750. Just got both of them and I'm still experimenting with both. Wasn't thrilled with outdoor shots in very bright sunshine, but it's probably operator fault and not the lens. Cons: Other thoughts:
